He moved to Alexandria, Louisiana, where he had lived for approximately six years before his death, working at several restaurants.

Case Summary
During the early morning hours of 03/19/2006, DelRico was driving a 1982 Oldsmobile Cutlass with passengers Royce Reall Taylor, 25, and Christopher Allen Thomas, 19. The three men were returning to Alexandria after spending the night at clubs in Avoyelles Parish. They had been at Jackie’s Lounge in Marksville and Secrets in Mansura.
At approximately 4:30 am, while traveling on LA Hwy 1 (also known as Lower 3rd) just outside Alexandria, a late model silver or gray Chevrolet Lumina pulled alongside DelRico’s vehicle. Someone inside the Lumina fired an AK-47 at least four times into the Cutlass.
DelRico was struck once, with the bullet entering through his left shoulder. Taylor and Thomas were not injured. DelRico died en route to Rapides Regional Medical Center.
Detective Buddy Willis said investigators had not established a motive but were considering whether DelRico and the shooter knew one another.
Investigators spoke with DelRico’s passengers and others who had been at the clubs that night while attempting to determine what occurred before the shooting. Authorities also sought information about the silver or gray Chevrolet Lumina involved in the attack.
